Edge of Exile Entertainment Inc is excited to announce the launching of a new season of in-store organized play for Genesis: Battle of Champions, scheduled to commence in August 2025!

It will be a 13 week season, culminating with a new WORLD CHAMPION being crowned during MECHA MINI-CON, a 2-day event taking place November 22nd - 23rd, 2025 in St. Catharines, Ontario Canada - just a 15 minute drive from beautiful NIAGARA FALLS!

Each store that registers for the 2025 Organized Play season will be sent a Store Champion playmat to be awarded to the winner of a special Store Championship / WORLD CHAMPIONSHIP qualifier tournament.  The top 4 players in each participating store’s tournament will receive an invitation to participate in our World Championship event. In addition to the Store Champion playmat, approved Genesis: Battle of Champions Organized Play (GBoC OP) retailers will also receive a supply of promo packs (8 promo packs per week, supporting a full 13 week season of play). Every card appearing in our 2025 OP season promo packs will be unique from previously printed versions of them, making every promo pack extra exciting for your players to open!

We believe that Genesis: Battle of Champions is one of the absolute best collectible card games currently available on the market, and we are so confident that your players will love our game that we are putting our money where our mouth is! For a limited time, we are giving away TWO CASES of free booster boxes to every retail store that registers to be a part of our 2025 season of organized play, to help you build up a new community of Genesis players in your location with an extremely low cost of investment (see ‘The fine print’ below for more details). Approved GBoC OP retailers will be free to use this promotional product in whatever manner they choose to attract new players into our growing community. Stores may at the own discretion choose to sell the booster boxes at a special low price, use them as prize support for events (either free or paid entry events), or in any other manner that they feel will benefit them the most.

The fine print:

There is a $50 cdn / $45 usd registration fee to sign up for our Organized Play season, per location. 12 booster boxes of Genesis: Battle of Champions product will be provided to each store that registers for Organized Play at no cost, however approved GBoC OP retailers will have to prepay shipping costs for the product prior to shipment. Any duty fees or tariffs applied by the recipient’s government are also the sole responsibility of the recipient. Estimated value of the booster boxes being provided for free is $1440 cdn / $1080 usd. Additional promotional items (including, but not limited to) 1 Store Champion playmat, a supply of promo packs and complimentary paper playmats will also be sent at no charge. Approved retailers in all Countries except the USA and Canada will be charged an equivalent of $50 cdn, exact international exchange rates to be determined on the date of payment being processed. Shipping fees for all approved GBoC OP retailers must be prepaid prior to product being shipped. All shipments will include tracking # information. To be eligible to become an approved GBoC OP retailer, stores need to be open to the public and accessible to patrons of all ages. Please note that in addition to the information required below, applicants need to provide an image of the outside of their store, clearly showing their commercial signage showing that they operate as a place of business open to the public. Applicants will also need to provide an image of the inside of their store, showing that they have suitable available seating inside their location for a minimum of 8 players to play in an event at the same time (two tables capable of seating four people each is sufficient).
