Mecha Games Marathon event to support Men’s Mental Health!

Genesis: Battle of Champions is proud to announce that we will be participating in the upcoming marathon gaming event being held on Saturday December 14th through Sunday December 15th, at Mecha Games (370 Ontario Street in St. Catharines, Ontario) to help raise funds in support of Men’s mental health.

What you need to know first:

Mecha Games will be hosting a 31-hour long gaming marathon event in their store on Saturday December 14th through Sunday December 15th. This event is a fundraising event in support of the Canadian Men’s Health Foundation. To enter the premises and be a part of all of the exciting events that will be happening (including ours), interested parties will need to print out a copy of the Mecha Games pledge form (located at the bottom of this page) and bring a completed copy of it with them, along with a minimum of $50 in donations raised (you can sponsor yourself for the $50 if you wish). Our main event:

We will be hosting a 24 hour marathon session of Genesis: Battle of Champions gameplay, beginning at 1:00pm on Saturday, December 14th. Bring as many decks to play with as you wish, as the goal is to play for as long as possible, winning will not effect your eligibility to win prizes throughout the event. At pre-determined times throughout the event, all (still active) participants will be given complementary product for use in Genesis drafts, sealed events and/or other surprise formats. There will be LOTS of free Genesis: Battle of Champions product given away to participants during this marathon event!

Our Grand Prize:

The grand prize winner will receive a factory sealed 2018 edition 2-player Genesis: Battle of Champions Alpha Starter Set!

Note: Only 100 units of this 2018 edition Alpha Starter Set were ever manufactured, so this factory-sealed set is an extremely rare item!

Supplemental prizes:

• At the end of every 3 hours of consecutive play, one lucky player who is still participating will win a factory sealed booster box of Genesis: Battle of Champions cards. Sets awarded will vary throughout the event.

• At randomly determined intervals participants will win booster packs from various sets

At the end of each hour of gameplay, participants who are still playing games of Genesis will be awarded an entry into the draw to win our Grand Prize. Any participants who manage to keep playing Genesis for the entire 24 hours of gameplay (thus earning a total of 24 entries into the Grand Prize draw) will then be awarded a bonus 12 additional entries!

Additionally, entries to win the Grand Prize will be able to be purchased on site during the event by making a donation to the fundraising efforts at a cost of a $50 donation per entry. These additional donation-based entries may be purchased by anyone, including attendees not participating in the marathon event. Please note that donations made to purchase entry into our Grand Prize draw will be separate from any raffle prizes that Mecha Games may be offering on site, and will not earn tickets towards raffle draws.
