INTRODUCTION

Two Versus Two, also known as 2v2, is an excellent team-based format for working with an ally to take down your foes.

CORE RULE CHANGES

The rule book that should be followed is the most recent edition.

TIMELINE & FORETHOUGHTS

No changes are made.

TURN ORDER

Turn order is taken as a team, between you and your ally. Any champion or summon controlled by either can take the turn, and the turn order between you two does not need to be static. Each round, you can swap orders and take turns with any combatant that would optimize your turn.

ALLIES AND ENEMIES

In this format, your ally champion and their summons are all considered your allies. This applies for effects such as Sara’s Blood Craving.

FORMAT-SPECIFIC RULES

When a champion is killed, all summons and alterations they own stay in the arena and are controlled by their partner.

Arena Setup

For this format, you will only need one arena mat to play on.

The champions from the first team start on either spot (1) or (2), and the champions from the second team begin on spots (3) and (4) indicated on the arena below. Only one player per square.

Ideas for Expansion

3 vs 3

Following the same rules, you can host a three-versus-three match. In this match-up, do not extend the arena, and have champions start in the corners and the middle spot in the back row (ie. the spot between (1) and (2) in the diagram under arena setup. The remaining rules will stay the same.
